Book Review: Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Series: Big Shots,

Hello friends! I picked up the most adorable book with painted edges and had to share it with you. This one is Tessa Bailey’s Dream Girl Drama. It is a swoon-worthy, slow-burn romance that had me hooked from the very first meet-cute at the country club. Who are we kidding here? I’ve wanted more of Chloe’s story since her first appearance in the series, and Bailey does not disappoint. The chemistry between Sig and Chloe is electric, but what truly sets this book apart is the way Tessa Bailey explores the depth of their connection, weaving in themes of loyalty, self-sacrifice, and the messy complications of family.

Sig is the kind of hero who quietly steals your heart. He’s always looking out for Chloe, making sure she’s comfortable and cared for-even if it means denying himself. From the moment Chloe helps him out at the club (in a scene that’s both hilarious and heartwarming), it’s clear these two are destined for more than friendship. Yet, circumstances-and a twist of family drama-keep them apart, forcing both to confront what they really want.

One of my favorite things about this book is how Sig dotes on Chloe, not just with grand gestures (like buying up all the Pop-Tarts in her neighborhood just to have an excuse to see her), but in the small, everyday moments. He’s always there to protect her, but also empowers her, encouraging Chloe to believe in herself and her abilities, even if it’s just learning how to do laundry. The way Chloe lights up with every new skill or experience is infectious and made me root for her even more.

Tessa Bailey gives our main man, Sig, real emotional depth. He’s not just a lovesick hero; he’s also a devoted friend and a loyal teammate. His love for Chloe is obvious from day 1, but so is his commitment to everyone in his life. Watching him navigate the complicated situation with his father and Chloe’s mother added another layer to the story, giving the romance stakes that felt genuine and earned.

The tension of forbidden love, especially with the looming threat of their parents’ engagement, keeps the pages turning. Sig’s determination to prove his father’s motives aren’t pure, all in the hope of clearing a path to Chloe, is both romantic and a little heartbreaking if I’m being honest. You can’t help but cheer for them to find their way back to each other.

So my friends, I suggest you pick this one up, especially if you want something pretty on your shelves. Dream Girl Drama is a heartfelt read filled with amusing banter, genuine emotion, and characters you can’t help but fall for. If you love friends-to-lovers stories, like I do, with a dash of family chaos and a hero who goes above and beyond for his love, then this one’s for you. I loved watching Sig and Chloe admit they were never meant to be just friends; they were always meant to be each other’s forever, and you will too! Pick this one up at Barnes & Noble for the sprayed edges and until next time my friends, Happy Reading!
