Hey there, book friends! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend. If you did some shopping, I hope you were able to get everything you wanted and more. I’m back with another review, and this time, it’s all about the sequel Pucking Wild by Emily Rath. If you read my review from last week, you’ll remember how much I enjoyed Pucking Around, giving it 4.5 stars, and I’m thrilled to say that I was not disappointed with this second book in the Jacksonville Rays series!

This book focuses on Tess and Ryan’s story. For those who read Pucking Around, you’ll recognize Tess as Rachel’s best friend. Now friends, I’ll admit, I don’t usually read many reverse age gap romances, and you won’t find many reviews here on them, but Emily Rath handled it so well that I often forgot about the age difference between Tess and Ryan.

The chemistry between Tess and Ryan is absolutely epic! Their banter had me smiling and laughing, and the way their relationship developed was both natural and exciting. While this book might be a tad less spicy than Pucking Around, there are still plenty of steamy moments to keep you hot and bothered.

One thing I really appreciated about this book was how much depth Emily has given to Tess’s character. We get to see her struggles and vulnerabilities, which made her feel incredibly real and relatable. And Ryan? He’s such a sweetheart! His determination to support Tess and his own personal growth throughout the story had me rooting for him from the start.

It was also great to see the characters from Pucking Around make appearances. Tess is just another member of the Price family. The way Emily Rath weaves their stories together creates a rich, interconnected world that I just love diving into. After all, family can be those we choose.

Overall, Pucking Wild is a fantastic addition to the Jacksonville Rays series. It’s got humor, heart, and heat in spades. If you enjoyed Pucking Around like I did, then you’re going to love the second book in the series. I’m giving it 4.5 stars and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
