My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Series: Beasts of Garamora
Hey there, fellow readers! Today, I’ve got something a little different to share with you all – my thoughts on Elizabeth Stephens’ “Dark City Omega,” the first book in the thrilling Beasts of Garamora series. I received this book as part of my probably smut book box for January. It has beautiful black pages and white ink. That alone was reason enough for me to read this book. Now friends, I admit, this was my first foray into the world of Omegaverse, and let me tell you, it was quite the spicy read!
First things first, let’s talk about that four-star rating. Yep, you heard me right. I’m giving this book a solid four stars. “Dark City Omega” is like nothing I’ve ever read before. It’s got everything a romance reader can want.. intrigue, danger, and of course, a healthy dose of spicy romance that’ll have you reaching for an ice-cold drink it’s so hot.
The story follows Echo, a fierce protagonist who finds herself caught by a ruling Berserker. But Echo isn’t one to go down without a fight. She’s determined to escape and she’s not about to let anyone capture her, including the alphas who are trying to find her. She’s determined to navigate the dangerous woods on her own terms. Little does she know, there’s something even more sinister lurking in the shadows, something undead and deadly that threatens everything she holds dear.
Now, let’s talk about the romance because, let’s face it, that’s what we’re all here for, right? I know I am. The chemistry between Echo and her captor is off-the-charts hot, with enough tension to set the pages on fire. Despite their differences, they’re drawn to each other in a way that’s both thrilling and forbidden. At its core, “Dark City Omega” is an enemies-to-lovers story that’ll have you rooting for the pair from the very beginning.
But “Dark City Omega” isn’t just about romance. It’s about loyalty, sacrifice, and the bonds that tie us together, even in the darkest of times. Echo’s journey is one of self-discovery and resilience, and watching her navigate the challenges thrown her way and realize that she is stronger than she gives herself credit for.
As for the Omegaverse aspect, I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. But Stephens does an incredible job of building a rich and immersive dystopian world filled with complex characters and intricate politics. It’s a world I can’t wait to explore further in the next book of the series.
So my friends, if you’re in the mood for a spicy read that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, pick up “Dark City Omega.” Trust me, once you dive into this captivating world, you won’t want to leave. I know I’ll definitely be picking up the next book, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Happy reading, everyone!
