Now, cozy up and let me tell you all about this spicy story featuring Macon Spade, the charismatic playboy, and Brooklyn, the ambitious woman determined to steer clear of anything that’s trying to get in the way of her goals.

First off, let’s talk about Macon. As part owner of Spade Hotels, he’s not just a billionaire businessman; he’s the epitome of an alpha male. Confident, assertive, and unapologetically sure of what he wants, Macon never shies away from pursuing his desires. Then one night out with his friends he sees her. And oh boy, does he have his eyes set on the women dancing. He must meet her.

Brooklyn, our leading lady, is the hardworking, independent woman we all root for. Balancing a full-time job and school, she’s not in the market for a relationship. However, fate has other plans when Macon enters the scene. She was out for a night to dance and get lost in the music at a club. Then Macon comes along. A one-night stand turns into two, and before Brooklyn knows it, she’s caught in the irresistible pull of Macon’s charm.

Now my friends, I’m sure you want to know about the chemistry between Macon and Brooklyn. Well, it’s sexy, electrifying, and downright hot and spicy. And here’s the kicker—even though the romance is as spicy as sin, the story’s plot is not lacking. Mann masterfully balances the steamy encounters with a compelling storyline, keeping readers hooked from start to finish.

Marni Mann takes the classic elements of a billionaire romance and weaves them into a tale that’s both spicy and sweet. Macon’s refreshing and candid personality won hearts, while Brooklyn’s journey adds depth to the narrative. Growth, development, and a satisfying ending tie up this steamy package with a bow.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators, Tor and Savannah, did an outstanding job bringing these characters to life. The pacing, the emotional moments, and, of course, the spicy scenes are all expertly handled, creating a captivating listening experience. But here’s a word of advice- don’t listen to this in public. If you must, don’t forget your headphones. Trust me on this one.
